How to promote my products on Facebook?
To promote your products on Facebook, you have two solutions (which can be cumulated): create a Facebook shop and/or publish product ads on Facebook.
About Facebook shop
To create a Facebook shop, you can use the "default" shop tab of your Facebook page or create your own custom shop tab. Whichever the solution you choose, they each have their advantages and disadvantages.
- If you choose to use the default tab, you will be able to take advantage of all the features set by Facebook for its shop (as for example the display on mobile). However, you will not be able to display your products in several languages or currencies.
To display your products into this default tab, you can either manually add them (which requires to update them manually and which can take a lot of time) or add and update them automatically through to a product feed imported into the default product catalog created by Facebook in your Business Manager. To know how to do click here. - Or, if you want to create a custom and multilingual shop tab, you can use our "Advanced Shop For Fan Page" module. Click here to access this module documentation. Your Facebook shop will match the style of your online shop but, for example, it will not be displayed on mobile.
About product ads
To create product ads, you have to import your products in one (or more) catalog(s) on your Business Manager.
- If your PrestaShop website uses only one language, or if it's a multilanguage shop but you want to create ads only for one language, then you can use the default product catalog created by Facebook in your Business Manager. This will have the advantage of also filling the default shop tab of your Facebook page if it is not already done. Click here to know how to import your products into the default Facebook catalog.
- But, if your site can be displayed in manu languages/currencies and you want to create product ads in these different languages/currencies and for several countries, you will have to create as many different product catalogs as different country/language/currency groups. To know how to create a product catalog click here. Each catalog will then receive the matching product data feed, generated by your "Dynamic Ads + Pixel" module. To know how to import your products into the matching catalogs click here.
Remember that, whichever the catalog used, to create targeted or remarketing dynamic ads you have to create and install a Facebook pixel on your site and link it to your catalog(s). This pixel will track your visitor activity on your shop and allow you to create targeted audiences. Click here to know how to do.
