How to choose/create a users list?
After having filled in your API key, the next important step is to choose a users list. This list will gather all your contacts: subscribers to your newsletter who don't yet have a customer account and, if you enable the e-commerce feature, your customers, whether or not they have subscribed to your newsletter.
Note: on MailChimp interface, a "list" is now called "audience".
To choose a list, go to the "Users liste choice" tab of the "General settings" section.
You have the choice between:
- using one of your MailChimp existing lists. In this case, select the desired list in the drop-down menu:
BEFORE saving, the module asks you if you want to enable the double opt-in for this list and the display of GDPR fields into the newsletter sign-up form associated with this list (only valid for a MailChimp sign-up form). You have to know that the values of the "double opt-in" and "GDPR fileds" options you indicate in the module will override those in the list configuration on MailChimp. Then, if you activated these options in the MailChimp interface for this list, and you want to keep them active, make sure you select YES. Otherwise, select NO.
Be careful: we advise you to always go through the module to enable or disable the "GDPR fields" option. Indeed, this is the configuration of the list in the module that has priority over that of the MailChimp interface.

A form appears to allow you to fill out the essential information to be able to use this new list:
Choose the name of the list wisely because it will be visible to the recipients of your campaigns.
Anti-spam laws and MailChimp's Term of Use require you to indicate the physical address of your company. You must display it in your e-mails footer so that every recipient can always send you letters. The address must be an address where you can receive mail, and can't be an email address or website. If you work from home, you may not want your home address exposed to your subscribers, so we suggest you use a post office box as an alternative.
