What if the Tag Assistant doesn't detect any data from my conversion tracking tag?
If the test in this FAQ does not show a conversion event, check the following in order.
- Payment return. Check that the order exists and the customer returns to confirmation. The module recognizes
orderconfirmation, submitand the custom controller entered under Conversion tracking > Custom controller management. Ask the payment developer for the exact name if needed. - Identifiers. Check the ID with
AW-and the label of the intended action, and confirm the settings were saved: find your codes. - Test browser. Disable blocking extensions for this domain and place another paid order in the tab connected to Tag Assistant.
- Page errors. Review JavaScript errors and blocked requests; see also how to detect a JavaScript error. An error may involve the theme, a module, custom code or script loading; it does not automatically identify the responsible component.
- Consent. Compare acceptance and refusal, together with the consent states observed in Tag Assistant. See consent configuration.
Do not disable visitor protections to force measurement. In basic consent mode, no tag after refusal can be expected; in advanced mode, check consent signals and cookieless measurements.
The module uses its own ID and label to address the event. A banner does not necessarily need to copy the label to transmit consent choices. Using Advanced Cookie Banner or Axeptio does not remove the need to test actual states.
If the issue persists, give support your PrestaShop, tracking module, payment and banner versions, return controller, Tag Assistant results and errors with personal data removed. If an event appears but totals differ, see this FAQ.
