Can I make remarketing on product combinations?
Yes, provided that the combination IDs sent by the tag match those in the Merchant Center feed.
Module 1.7.11 requires PrestaShop 1.7.7.0 or later. For older module versions, see the PrestaShop 1.6 and 1.7 requirements below.
- The compatible Merchant Center exporter must export each combination as a separate product.
- The prefix, ISO segment, separator and simple-ID setting must result in the same ID in the feed and tag.
- Your theme must allow the module to detect combination changes and add-to-cart actions.
Check one combination, select another and add it to the cart. In Tag Assistant, compare items[].id and ecomm_prodid with the IDs actually exported. Also check the cart and a test order confirmation. Follow the testing procedure.
Do not assume that all exporters or Merchant Center versions use the same ID format. Without a detected BusinessTech Merchant Center module, this version’s product and combination-change paths use only the product ID. Have that setup checked before relying on combination-level tracking.
See product ID prefixes and combination separators.
Requirements for PrestaShop 1.6 and 1.7
Apply the following requirements to the corresponding module and PrestaShop versions.
If you have a PrestaShop 1.6 version, you can make remarketing on product combinations, provided that:
- You have a "Google Dynamic Remarketing" version higher than or equal to 1.6.1
AND - You have set a "Google Merchant Center" version higher than or equal to 4.7.11 (or a module Pro version higher than or equal to 1.6.14)
If you have a PrestaShop 1.7 version, you can make remarketing on product combinations, regardless of the version of your "Google Merchant Center module" module (or its Pro version), but provided that:
- Your version of "Google Dynamic Remarketing" module is higher than or equal to 1.6.1
