Is it necessary to indicate an age group for using my products?
age_group identifies the product's intended age group. Google values are newborn, infant, toddler, kids and adult. Choose a value matching the product's actual audience.
Requirements depend on category, country and program: check clothing and accessories rules for free listings and Shopping ads in particular. Age group is not universally required for every product category.
Under Apparel feed options, enable age group, open category mapping and choose the appropriate value for each relevant category. Save the mapping and section where needed, then inspect XML age_group.
Standard-edition mapping uses the product's default category. Products intended for different ages under the same default category require suitable catalogue organization. The attribute does not guarantee appearance in a Google filter.
