What are the Snapchat's requirements for product description?

Each product in a Snapchat catalog must have a description. Snapchat accepts descriptions of up to 5,000 characters.

In Feed management > Feed data options, Which description type do you want to use? offers:

• short description;
• long description;
• both, combined in that order;
• meta-description.

The module cleans the selected text and removes HTML tags. Check the description length in the generated CSV before importing.

Check that the selected field contains useful text in the CSV file’s language. If the description is empty after processing, the product or combination is not exported. To control the text used in your catalog, place essential information first or choose a shorter description.

After making a change, save the setting and regenerate the CSV and update the catalog. Current requirements are listed in the official Snapchat catalog field list.
