How to create a WhatsApp Business account?
To use the module’s button, you need an active WhatsApp account associated with the configured phone number. A personal account can receive conversations; the WhatsApp Business app is recommended for its business tools.
To create your WhatsApp Business account:
- Download and open the app using the links in the official WhatsApp Business guide.
- Accept the applicable terms, select your country and verify your phone number by following the app’s instructions. Use a number for which you can receive the verification code.
- Create your business profile with your business name, category and, if you wish, a profile image.
The app includes tools such as a catalog, greeting or away messages, and quick replies. You configure these tools in WhatsApp Business; the module adds the contact button to your shop.
Once the account is ready, enter the same number in the module by following the module configuration guide.
You can also reply from WhatsApp Web by linking your computer to the account set up on your phone. Follow the official linked-device instructions.
