How to register my website with Bing Webmaster Tools?

Adding your shop to Bing Webmaster Tools gives you access to its reports and monitoring tools. Registration is not a prerequisite for the IndexNow protocol, which verifies the domain through its own public key file. See the module’s IndexNow configuration.

Add and verify your website

1. Open Bing Webmaster Tools and sign in using one of the offered accounts.
2. If your site is already verified in Google Search Console, you can import that property. Otherwise, add your website URL manually.
3. For manual setup, choose an offered verification method: upload Bing’s XML file to the root, add Bing’s meta tag to the homepage <head>, or create the required DNS CNAME record. Use the exact values supplied by your account.
4. Once the method is in place, run verification in Bing Webmaster Tools and check its result. If it fails, follow the displayed diagnosis.

Bing Webmaster Tools verification data and the IndexNow key are separate. Neither replaces the other.
