How to export my customer reviews from my shop?

In the back office review management menu, open product review export or shop review export. Depending on the PrestaShop version, these entries are direct or grouped under review import/export.

Let's take the example of a product review export:

Select the language of the reviews to be exported, for example, English (you can also export all languages at once by selecting "All languages"):

Click on "Export" :

Download the CSV file containing your reviews by clicking on "Download the file":

Attention: This is a CSV file with values separated by semicolons.

The exported values are:

• id_customer
• customer_firstname
• customer_lastname
• review_lang (review language ISO code)
• review_title
• review_text
• rating
• id_product (product reviews only)
• product_name (product reviews only)
• id_order (0 when no order is linked)
• date_add (review date)
• id_shop (product reviews only, from version 5.2.8)

Re-importing a product-review export

From version 5.2.8, the product-review export uses the same twelve-column layout as the product-review import template, including the shop ID.

Keep every column in its original position when preparing the file for re-import. If you import into another installation, check that the customer, product, order, and shop IDs match the destination records.

Product-review values containing separators or quotation marks are enclosed and escaped using CSV quoting. Open the file with your spreadsheet application’s CSV import function and select the semicolon separator.

These changes concern product-review exports. Shop-review exports retain their existing format.

Shop review export

The shop file has nine columns: id_customer;customer_firstname;customer_lastname;review_lang;review_title;review_text;rating;id_order;date_add. It has no id_shop. This differs from the eight columns expected by shop review import: do not reimport it unchanged. Prepare the data in the shop import template, checking positions and IDs. Direct format compatibility in version 5.2.8 concerns product reviews only.
