How to create rating criteria?

Do you want to know what your customers think about particular points? The module allows you to create your own rating criteria, either for product reviews or for store reviews (independent configuration).

Use the product rating criteria to ask your customers to rate specific characteristics of certain items in order to validate or not your choice of products or suppliers: quality of the fabric, price, cut of a garment, sturdiness etc... It is a free way to know the efficiency of your catalog and a precious help to make informed decisions about your products.

As for the rating criteria for your store in general, you also have the choice: navigation, site ergonomics, variety of products, clarity of descriptions, ease of payment, or even choice of delivery points! The feedback from your customers will allow you to make the right choices and get a better customer satisfaction rate.

To create a rating criterion, whether for your products, a particular product category, a specific product or for your store, go to the "Reviews Management" section and the "Criteria Management" tab:

Click on the small "+" at the top right of the screen:

1/ "Product" rating criteria

Enter a name for your product rating criteria. For example, "Fabric Quality".

Attention: don't forget to translate this name into all the languages of your store by using the language drop-down menu on the right of the field.

If you want the rating criterion to be active as soon as it is saved, enable it:

Choose the criterion type "Product review":

If you want to restrict this criterion to the rating of a specific product, start typing the name of that product in the "Apply to specific products" field and then select it from the drop-down list that appears:

You can also select other products, either from the same drop-down list:

or by changing the keyword to find other products:

If you want to restrict this criterion to the rating of products of a particular category, start typing the category name in the "Apply to specific categories" field and select it from the drop-down list that appears:

In the same way as for products, you can select several categories, either from the same drop-down list or by changing the keyword to find other categories:

Finally, click on "Save".

That's it, you have created your first product rating criteria.

2/ "Shop" rating criteria

Enter a name for your shop rating criteria. For example, "Website navigation".

Attention: don't forget to translate this name into all the languages of your store by using the language drop-down menu on the right of the field.

If you want the rating criterion to be active as soon as it is saved, enable it:

Choose the criterion type "Shop review":

Finally, click on "Save".

That's it, you have created your first shop rating criteria.

3/ Managing rating criteria

When your (product or shop) criteria are created, you will find them all listed in the "Criteria Management" tab. You can sort them, activate/deactivate them ("Status" column) or modify them. By clicking on "See more" you can directly see the list of categories and/or products to which certain product criteria apply:

Note: On the other hand, it is impossible to delete a criterion. Indeed, this would not be coherent if this criterion had already been used for customer reviews (there would be an inconsistency in the display of these reviews: the displayed rating would no longer correspond to the average of the ratings attributed to the criteria). Don't delete the criterion either, as this would cause holes in the database (if this were the case, we would not provide support for it). Instead of deleting it, simply deactivate it.
