How to create my Amazon app?
Prerequisite: your shop and redirect URL must be accessible over HTTPS to use Login with Amazon.
In the module configuration, select the relevant shop if multistore is enabled. Open “Social login buttons configuration” and edit the Amazon connector. Keep this form open to copy its redirect URL and enter the credentials.
Create the security profile
- Sign in to the Login with Amazon console with an authorized developer account.
- Create a Security Profile, or use an existing profile enabled for Login with Amazon.
- Enter your recognizable shop name, a description and your privacy policy URL. You can add a logo consistent with your shop.
- Save the profile, then copy its Client ID and Client Secret into the corresponding Amazon connector fields.
Register the Return URL
In the profile’s Web Settings, add the exact redirect URL displayed by the module to Allowed Return URLs. This connector uses a server-side redirect flow: it does not require Allowed Origins, which is used for the corresponding JavaScript integration.
Save the Amazon settings, check the button translations in the module, activate the connector and click “Update”. The module requests the profile permission to retrieve the profile information needed for login.
The distinction between origins and Return URLs is described in the official website registration documentation.
To choose where the buttons appear, see module configuration and, if needed, advanced positions.
Then test the complete flow as a logged-out visitor: authorization with the provider, return to the correct shop, creation or retrieval of the customer account, and a session that remains logged in after reloading the page. An authorization screen alone does not confirm that shop login succeeded.
