What is the procedure to correct price consistency issues between Google and my site?
For an affected product, record ID, country, currency and the price Google compared. Check these four stages:
- Served XML: compare
price,sale_price, any validity period and tax inclusion. Regenerate a physical file when needed. - Exact URL: open
linkwithout customer cookies. Check the variant, currency and price available in the cart. If you use multiple currencies, also check this URL’sSubmitCurrencyandid_currencyparameters. - Structured data: test Product/Offer JSON-LD or microdata and look for conflicting values, duplicates or caches. There is no universal meta-tag priority that lets you disregard every other object.
- Merchant Center: check retrieval of the correct source, other sources and Products → Automations.
Also check tax, currency, geolocation and customer-group rules and crawler access. Correct XML does not prove a crawler sees the same offer. If XML is wrong despite consistent data, contact support with an example; if markup is wrong, identify the integration generating it.
Daily fetching or disabling an automation does not guarantee resolution. See exported prices, markup and automatic updates.
