Why don't certain click events appear in my Google Analytics reports?
If an event such as add_to_wishlist or add_payment_info is missing while product views appear, isolate the action and page involved. A customized theme or flow may use different elements from those recognized by the module.
- Reproduce the action in a session connected to Tag Assistant after checking consent. Note the exact expected event name and the page used.
- Ask your technician to inspect the actual clicked button, its CSS selector, any product attributes and JavaScript or AJAX errors. A
#identifierselector targets an id;.classtargets a class. - Distinguish adding to the wishlist from a product list and from a product page. The buttons may differ. A selector change intended for the wishlist does not belong in an add-to-cart field.
- Send support your PrestaShop/module versions, theme, reproduction steps and Tag Assistant result. Then check reception of the event in GA4.
The button.wishlist-button-add selector does not fit every theme or page. A replacement must be based on the actual button; it does not guarantee collection on its own if the click handler is not executed. If no events are detected, start with the general diagnostic.
