Do I have to provide information about my product material?
material describes the actual product material, such as cotton, leather or steel. Google requires it in particular when it distinguishes variants; check requirements for your program and category. Correct material does not guarantee ranking.
- Populate a PrestaShop feature with consistent, translated material values.
- Under Apparel feed options, enable material tags and open category mapping.
- Map each category to the feature containing material, save and inspect XML
material.
The standard edition uses the default category for this mapping.
Check each offer's exported value: a shared mapping cannot invent a different material for a variant whose data has not been recorded.
For genuinely mixed materials, follow Google's format with the principal material first. Do not supply alternative materials belonging to other variants.
For detailed requirements: Official Google documentation.
