Why do I get an error on update xml file ?
An AJAX error, “internal server error” or incomplete XML does not identify the cause by itself. Record the feed, time, HTTP status and exact message. Your webmaster can compare these with PHP and web-server logs.
- Check file creation and write permissions, disk space and access to the file URL.
- If logs show a memory or execution-time limit, reduce Number of products per cycle in Basic settings, save and retry.
- If a particular product triggers the error, record its ID and data; contact support with a reproducible example.
- Check all batches complete, the XML closes correctly and the item count is plausible. A completed progress bar or HTTP response alone does not guarantee a usable feed.
The module's help advises cautious batch sizes and no more than 1,000 products per cycle. Even a dedicated server does not justify processing the whole catalogue in one batch as a rule. Adjust hosting limits only after investigating.
