What is the identifier_exists tag for ?
identifier_exists tells Google whether a product has the relevant unique identifiers: GTIN, brand and MPN. Their requirements depend on the product; there is no universal “two out of three identifiers” rule.
An identifier missing from your shop is not necessarily an identifier that does not exist. Obtain identifiers assigned by the manufacturer. Use identifier_exists=false only when the product genuinely has no relevant identifiers; it is not a workaround for missing data.
Check the exported value
After entering the identifiers and saving your settings, regenerate the feed and check identifier_exists in the affected product’s XML. Its value must match the identifiers actually assigned to the product.
