What is the Google "product type" attribute?
product_type describes your own product classification, such as Clothing > Men > T-shirts. It differs from google_product_category, which uses Google's taxonomy. product_type is optional under Google's specification.
The module builds a path from the product's default category. Under Basic settings, select the home category used as the root and the fallback text describing your activity.
Check fallback text in every language using the field's language selector. The module's choice to use a path or fallback does not make this attribute universally required by Google.
Save and compare product_type across several categories. This classification can help organize Google Ads product groups; it should not contain promotions or unrelated keywords.
