How to use the "VAT", "Profits and margins" and "Credit notes" reports?
VAT and Profits and margins present orders; the three credit reports present separately recorded refunds.
- Open Orders > Sales Reports, then Report Configuration and Export.
- Select the required report: VAT / Profits and margins / Credit notes / Shipping credit notes / Product credit notes by VAT rate.
- Choose an appropriate period and check selected order statuses; add the available filters you need.
- Choose HTML to view or CSV to work with the data, then click Export.
Column details: VAT, Profits and margins, Credit notes, Shipping credit notes, Product credit notes by VAT rate. Configuration and filters.
For a credit-note period, use the credit note date, which can differ from order and invoice dates. Export sales and credit notes using consistent period conventions, then reconcile them. Sales reports do not automatically deduct credit notes.
To choose the purchase costs used in the calculations, see the guide to purchase costs for orders placed before installation.
