How to add a local inventory feed in Google Merchant Center?

The local inventory feed supplements your product source with a location’s stock availability. Prepare the inventory settings and check that your Google Business Profile is linked to Merchant Center first.

  1. Under My feeds → Local inventory feed, copy the URL for the required context.
  2. In Merchant Center, open Settings → Data sources → Product sources → Supplemental sources, then Add local inventory.
  3. Choose a file and the file-link option. Paste the URL and schedule regular retrieval, usually daily, using the correct time zone.
  4. Match the language and feed label to the product source. Also check targeting, currency and offer IDs.
  5. Save, wait for processing and review local inventory diagnostics.

The id values must match product data, and store_code must exactly match the linked location. After linking accounts or changing a store code, Google recommends allowing up to 24 hours before submitting inventory.

If using physical files, schedule their generation before Google’s retrieval. The module can generate local inventory on the fly without first reading the product XML file; Merchant Center still needs a consistent product source.
