What is the product supplier reference (MPN code) for?

MPN (Manufacturer Part Number) is the reference assigned by the manufacturer. It is not necessarily your internal reference or the reference used by your supplier.

Which field does the module read?

The two export modes read different fields:

Product export without splitting combinations: on PrestaShop 1.7.7 and later, the module reads the product's native MPN field.
Export each combination: the module reads the supplier reference associated with that combination and the default supplier. Filling only the combination's native MPN is insufficient for this path.

Use the genuine manufacturer reference in the field actually read.

Check exclusions

In Feed management → Product exclusion rules, the missing-manufacturer-reference exclusion can prevent export when the field being read is empty. Regenerate and inspect g:mpn and the diagnostic for that item.

Do not fill a missing reference with an invented value. Check requirements for the product and catalog use in the Meta specifications; do not assume a universal “any one of brand/GTIN/MPN always suffices” rule. See also GTIN and brand.
